1. Data controller
Personal data collected on Livre-toi is processed by Catherine Ngo, sole trader (SIREN 918 801 853). Contact: livre_toi@outlook.fr.
2. Data collected
Account: email, name. Orders: shipping address, phone, purchase history (payment is processed by Stripe, we never store card data).
Created content: texts, uploaded photos and generated illustrations composing your books. This content may include photos of children, uploaded under the responsibility of the adult account holder, with the consent of the holders of parental authority.
Voice dictation: audio recordings sent to the transcription service when you use the microphone, then automatically deleted right after transcription. If a technical incident prevents this deletion, the recording stays in a private, non-public storage area until we erase it.
Technical data: connection logs and data required to operate the service.
Contact form: name, email, message and optional photos. Photos are optimised before sending and delivered as attachments through Resend to the support inbox, without a public link. They are not added to your book gallery. Keep the originals in case a closer examination is needed.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Creating and printing your books, managing orders and deliveries (contract performance); transactional emails for confirmation and shipping (contract performance); security and abuse prevention (legitimate interest); accounting obligations (legal obligation).
No commercial prospecting is carried out without your consent.
4. Recipients and processors
Your data is shared only with providers necessary to the service: Supabase (data hosting, EU), Vercel (site hosting), Stripe (payment), Lulu Press and its printers (printing and shipping: name, address, phone), Resend (emails), Anthropic for writing, text correction and moderation, and FAL.ai and the providers of the models used for image generation, retouching and audio transcription. Content needed for the selected feature is sent to these providers. Lulu also receives PDF files containing the text and images to print.
Some providers are located outside the EU (United States); these transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses and/or the Data Privacy Framework.
5. Retention periods
Account and books: as long as the account is active, then deleted. Orders and invoices: 10 years (accounting obligation). You can delete your books from your account, except a book in your cart or linked to an order that has not been cancelled: it is kept with that order.
Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to handle the request, then deleted within 3 months at most.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability of your data. To exercise them: livre_toi@outlook.fr. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).
7. Children's photos
Photos of children may only be uploaded by their parents or legal guardians, or by an adult with their consent, who assumes responsibility for them. Livre-toi uses them only to compose the requested book, does not sell them for advertising and does not use them to train AI models. Using AI features involves processing by the providers described above; their contractual terms govern retention and permitted uses at each provider.
8. Cookies and local storage
The site only uses technical cookies required for operation (session, authentication, language/theme preferences). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set.
The site also saves your drafts in progress in your browser (local storage): with an account, your guided mode answers, resumed for 30 days at most; without an account, your book and answers (texts and photos), kept in this browser until you start over, clear this site's data or save the book to your account. A book created without an account is only sent to our servers if you save it to your account after signing in.
